Vigil to End Gun Violence at the Woburn United Methodist Church
On December 8, 2019, at 4:00 pm, there will be a community Vigil to End Gun Violence at the Woburn United Methodist Church. The vigil will remember and honor victims and survivors of all gun violence and is being planned to coincide with candlelit vigils that are being organized nationwide around the anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut that occurred on December 14, 2012. Musical guest Mackenzie Clement will sing two songs at the vigil.
Sadly, the number of gun deaths continues to rise; there are 100 Americans killed daily by guns while hundreds more are shot and injured. In their honor, we will gather to remember the victims, survivors, and families impacted by gun violence. We will provide a forum for healing and we will advocate for meaningful action to reduce gun violence in our nation. We welcome everyone to join us for this candlelit vigil on December 8, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Woburn United Methodist Church, 523 Main Street, Woburn. Co-Sponsored by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
