School Kids

SCI will be working with the Woburn Public Schools and community partners to host a "Welcome Night" at the high school on September 26th from 6:30-8PM for families new to the Woburn community within the past year or so. Take this chance to connect with local organizations and services to learn more about the community resources available to you and your kids. Translators will be available.

This project is funded through CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and Winchester Hospital.

AmeriCorps Members!

We had a great first week of training with our new SCI AmeriCorps members, they are all serving throughout different locations at organizations across Eastern Massachusetts! 

AmeriCorps is still looking for dedicated members in several locations:
1. Boys & Girls Club Woburn - VOC
2. Boston Alliance for Community Health - VOC 
3. YMCA Boston - VOC


Film screening and talk on Theo Who Lived - the journalist held captive by Al-Qaeda for two years shares his incredible story of uncompromising humanity. The event takes place on September 27, 2017. Appetizers and cash bar will go from 6:30-7:30PM, the film screening will begin at 7:30PM.

Check out the 5th Annual Library Park Blues Festival! The festival takes place on Harrison Avenue in Woburn on Saturday September 16, 2017 from 1:00 - 8:00PM, gates will open at noon. They will be featuring groups including Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, Diane Smith and Finding Dimes, Brad Faucher & Session450 and Drivin’ Blind.                    

Tickets are $20 for adults, for children under 12 years old entrance is free with a paying adult. There is no entrance fee for active duty military who present an I.D.
