The Woburn Public Library is re-opening at an all new location in Woburn! Their last day open to the public will be on Friday, February 8th at 36 Cummings Park. The Woburn Public Library will recommence with regular business hours at 45 Pleasant Street on Monday, March 18th

Mishawum Choral Society

The Mishawum Choral Society will be holding rehearsals for anyone interested in bring their musical talent to the stage in Woburn! The Mishawum Choral Society is currently one of the most reknowned choral ensembles in the area, so bring your voice and audition for this talented group of singers!

Book Group

Join library staffer Hermayne Gordon for an interesting discussion of Sarah Perry's historical novel, The Essex Serpent. This discussion will take place on Tuesday, January 8th, in the staff room at 36 Cummings Park at 2pm. Light refreshments will be served, new members are always welcome!

There will also be an evening discussion of The Essex Serpent which will take place on Wednesday, January 16th at 7pm. If you love analyzing novels, you won't want to miss these lively discussions!

The Polar Express Flier

The North Suburban YMCA is hosting a screening of The Polar Express! This is a great event for families to get together for a festive night of hot chocolate, popcorn and a Christmas classic that kids are sure to enjoy. 

This event will take place on December 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the YMCA gym located on 137 Lexington St, Woburn MA. Tickets are $10 for families and free for YMCA members. Boys & Girls Club Logo

Help support the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn by participating in their Pot of Gold Raffle! The raffle distributes $25,000 in prizes every year to lucky winners while supporting youth Club members.

Tickets cost $100 each and can be shared amongst family and friends! The Early Bird Drawing will take place on December 21st, in which two Club supporters will win early $1,000 and $500 prizes. The Grand Prize Drawing will take place during the Club's St. Patrick's Day Social on March 16th, 2019; lucky winners can receive up to $20,000 in prizes!

New England Movement Arts organization is hosting a special storytime presented by the International Ballet Academy of Norwell! Families will enjoy a performance of "The Nutcracker", after which children can meet and take pictures with Clara, the Mouse Queen and the Nutcracker.

Military members with Christmas trees

Mahoney's Garden Center locations are collecting donations for military members to purchase Christmas trees for their families! Residents of surroundings towns can donate $30 to the Tree for Troops drive as well as write special cards to holiday wishes to families. Mahoney's donated 2,450 trees last year and is trying to beat their record! Come mid-December, trees will be sent to troops and families on over 65 military bases worldwide.
