Join the Woburn Host Lions at their 7th Annual Monster Dash this Sunday, October 21st! This event consists of an adult run (4.01k/2.5 miles), a walk (2.1 miles) and a children's fun run (.8 miles). Come dressed up in your craziest halloween costume and enjoy games and a cookout! 

The children's fun run will be held for children ages 5 to 14 years old and the 2.5 mile race will be held for ages 14 years and older. The top three winners in each run category will be presented with awards at the end! All proceeds will go to Lions Charities.

Bottom Line is a non-profit organization that strives to help first-generation students from low-income backgrounds prepare for the college and have successful careers. By mentoring students and helping them to obtain their degrees, Bottom Line transforms entire communities through its strong web of support. The Go Far Volunteer Program is an initiative in which volunteers conduct mock and informational interviews with students as well as provide their own career insights to help pave the way for success.

Mission of Deeds is collecting new and gently used coats, gloves and hats for children and adults in need! These items can be dropped off at the Mission of Deeds facility at 6 Chapin Avenue, Reading MA from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second and third calendar Saturday of each month. 

Join the Children's Dyslexia Center for their 17th Annual Walk for Dyslexia on Saturday, October 20th to raise money for children with dyslexia! The Children's Dyslexia Center aims to promote high quality education and language services for children with dyslexia while also advancing scientific knowledge through support of clinical research.

Flu season is upon us, so be sure to visit our annual free clinic! The citywide flu shot clinic is open to any resident ages 18 and over and will run from 3-5:00 p.m. at the Senior Center on Thursday, October 11th; seniors over the age of 65 can receive the high dose flu vaccine on that date. There will be a second clinic on October 17th from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Joyce Middle School Library and is open to anyone ages 5 and over. Be sure to bring your health insurance card and wear short sleeves!

Join The Woburn Lion's Club as they host their annual fall cookout on Saturday, October 13th! A delicious four-course meal will be served to guests at 7:00 p.m. following a cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m.. For more information about the menu, click on the pdf file attached below. The Woburn Community Educational Founcation Inc. is proud to present their annual Women's Forum and Purse Raffle! This event will feature keynote speaker Candy O'Terry, who is best known for her work on radio station Magic 106.7, and is also the President and Co-Founder of Women in Boston Media & Entertainment.
