The Woburn Recreation Department will be teaming up with the Woburn Public Library to host multicultural games on Library Field, this Wednesday, August 6th at 2:30. Wear light colored clothing, sneakers, sunscreen and don’t forget to bring some water to drink. The games will be from all around the world. So come down and experience something fun, free, and new for ages 5+.

The Friends of Woburn Veterans will be hosting a Corn Hole Tournment on Sunday, July 27 from 1-6 pm at The Sons of Italy, located at 168 Lexington Street in Woburn. 100% of all funds raised will go to Veterans projects in Woburn, including the next scheduled restoration project of the USS Maine Cowl, located at Woburn Common.

This Summer the YMCA has an abundance of fun summer programs for kids of all ages. This is a great way to get your kids out of the house, playing in the summer sun and meeting some new friends. The Y is offering sports classes, swim lessons and camp.

The YMCA is offering swimming lessons all summer long. This program is for preschool and elementary school aged children who need to grow and learn the safety of swimming. The staff at the YMCA will teach your child supportive strokes and enable your child to live a healthier and safer life. This year, the 12th Annual Native American Pow Wow will be taking place at Spence Farm, located at 41 Wyman Street on Saturday Juy 26th and 27th from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. The Grand entry will be at noon each day. This is a free event, so come down and enjoy Native American drumming, singing, and dancing, story-telling, arts and crafts, and Native American food.
