Join the Woburn Public Library and friends for a fun filled event. The fourth annual old-fashioned Ice Cream Social. This event will be taking place Sunday, August 3 from 2-5p.m. The afternoon will be filled with sweet ice cream, fun filled games and activities, and lots of good music. With the event being generously sponsored by Whole Foods, the tickets to this fun filled event are only $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. There will also be a raffle for an Ice Cream Party in a Basket, which you can now enter at the Circulation Desk. 

June 25th until August 19th from 1:30 till 3:30 a program called Club Recreation will be taking place at Library Park in Woburn. The program is designed to get children out of the house during the summer months. The kids will play games and sports with their peers, and have a variety of different fun activities.

This Saturday, July 12th the Stone Zoo will be having enrichment day. If your kids have ever asked you why there were balls, spinner toys, and other items in the exhibits now is the chance to get answers. Throughout the day guests will be able to see the zookeepers deliver and explain toys specially designed for the animals.

Today, July 8th, the childrens room at Woburn Public Library will be hosting a Pajama storytime. Children ages 4+ are invited to grab their PJ’s and come down to read some books, and enjoy some yummy snacks. Parents are invited to put on their Pajamas and come also. Arrive at 7 p.m. and stay for 45 minutes.

Google has made an online summer camp for children 13-18, to build, tinker, and explore online. Each Monday-Friday the Maker will post a new project or activity. You can also go live into Google+ hangouts to chat with expert makers. They will have field trip Fridays online and all the building supplies you need are already likely in your home. Their is also no requirment to go online every day, so just sign up and go on whenever your bored or need something to do. This awesome summer event will be going on today, July 7th, until August 15th at 2 pm.

Are you looking for something to do this summer with your kids? cant afford to spend $15 a piece on tickets? Well, HGRM, Houshold Goods Recycling, well give you two free muesum passes when you bring in a new or gently used pots and/or pans with or without their lids. You can drop them off at either of the muesums admissions desk to recive your tickets. They are free and you may use them then or save them for later.

With looming Hurricane Arthur authorites have made the decision to move all the fireworks displays in their communities. Most communities have moved their fireworks to Saturday the 5th, but Boston has decided to move the fireworks to tonight July 3rd. 
In Boston Storrow Drive will be closed at noon. 
The Mass Ave. Bridge will be closed at 6p.m.
Most roads and tunnels in the Boston area will be closed by 6.p.m. These include:
Berkley Street from Beacon Street to Back Street.
Clardeon Street from Beacon Street.
