Meet SCI's newest staff member, Amelia Walters! She will be taking on the role of SCI AmeriCorps Program Manager for the upcoming year. Amelia graduated from Franklin Pierce University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. Throughout her college career she discovered many service opportunities, including coordinating two Alternative Spring Break trips to conduct projects with Habitat for Humanity. She met many AmeriCorps members along the way and knew that's what she wanted to do once she graduated.

As the SCI AmeriCorps Program Manager, Amelia will recruit AmeriCorps members to serve at SCI's partner sites across Eastern Massachusetts. Not only will she recruit and place these members, but also supervise and train them throughout their ten months of service. This includes connecting members to different organizations and individuals, as well as helping them to advance their careers.
