WCEF's 3rd Annual Women's Forum & Purse Raffle will be taking place this Sunday, October 16th, at 11 am at the Crest View Plaza in Woburn. Recently announced is the change in keynote speakers for the event - unfortunately, Kelley Tuthill will not be able to attend. WCEF is excited to announce that award-winning journalist Emily Riemer will now be the keynote speaker!

Event tickets are $50 each - these include one free entry in WCEF's fabulous purse raffle. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the event for $5 each, or 6 tickets for $20. Click here for more information on the event, and to purchase a ticket.
 

Mollie O'Brien

Social Capital Inc. is happy to welcome our newest AmeriCorps member, Mollie O'Brien, to the team! Mollie will be serving in Woburn, primarily working in volunteer outreach, as well as performing various other general SCI outreach tasks. She started with us last week and will be continuing her service until June. If you see her around Woburn, do not hesitate to introduce yourself!  

Mollie is very excited to start her AmeriCorps service year with Social Capital Inc.! The first project she will be working on for SCI Woburn is the Woburn Volunteers for Seniors project. This project will connect local volunteers with senior citizens, who need help with seasonal outdoor chores. The YMCA International Learning Center - Woburn (ILC Woburn) is seeking candidates for a part-time morning Office Support Staff position. Hours for this position are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30am-1:00pm. This position follows the school calendar from September to June.
 

Duties:

  • Answering phones
  • Data entry, maintaining program tracking systems
  • Attendance reporting
  • Providing friendly, accurate customer service
  • Assist with intake and assessment
  • Timely communication with teachers and administration
  • Calling absent students
  • Maintaining computer lab
  • Assisting with various program events

Qualities Needed for Position:

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Team player and problem-solver
  • Bilingual is a must!
