The McCue Garden Center is open for the spring! They also have a number of upcoming events that are worth taking down in your calendar. Here are just a few to look forward to:

April 18: Spring basket arranging! At 6pm McCue Garden Center expert florists will be teaching attendees how to arrange a beautiful basket of spring flowers for only $15! 
April 22: Spring Fairy Garden! At 1pm, the Center will be holding their traditional fairy gardening class filled with fun and creativity. Children will create their own fairy gardens using natural spring materials for $15.

Battle Road Cleanup and Dedication

Join the City of Woburn on Saturday, April 15 for the Battle Road cleanup and dedication. The cleanup will be first, followed by the unveiling of a new stone monument during a ceremony and collation at the Briscoe St. entrance. The whole event is to honor the men from Woburn who marched along the road toward Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. The Woburn Historical Society and Woburn Historical Commission will also present a brochue highlighting Battle Road's history and the list of Woburn men who served. 

Third Community Forum on Race Relations

Mayor Scott Galvin and Woburn Public Schools, in collaboration with SCI, will be hosting the Third Community Forum on Race Relations at Woburn Memorial High School on Thursday, April 6, from 7-9pm. Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend! 

This event will focus on identifying action steps that can be taken to address the challenges identified at previous forums, related to the topics of race relations and diversity in Woburn. It is part of the #WoburnUnites series. #WoburnUnites is a homegrown effort dedicated to making Woburn a welcoming place for ALL by creating programming that fosters community and understanding.

Upcoming NuPath Inc. Events!

NuPath Inc. of Woburn has some exciting spring events that are coming up in the next few weeks! First, NuPath will be hosting its second annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, April 9th from 12-6pm at 354 West Cummings Park in Woburn. The day will feature a variety of activities, including raffles, games with prizes, face painting, an ice cream sundae bar, a bake table, vendors, card readings, refreshments & more! Admission is $2 at the door. All proceeds will go towards NuPath's annual fundraiser event to help support the work that they do for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The second event that NuPath will be hosting is their 7th Annual "Walk the Walk" Fundraiser. This will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 11am-2pm at their office location (147 New Boston St., Woburn). Come to raise awareness and support NuPath's efforts in aiding adults with autism and other developmental disabilities! You can walk as long or as short as you want, and enjoy the family-friendly activities, live music and BBQ.
 

Woburn 375's Re-Dedication of Battle Road

Join the city of Woburn on Saturday, April 15 at Battle Road to honor the men from Woburn that went off to fight on April 19th. The event will feature both a clean-up and re-dedication, as well as the unveiling of a new stone monument during a ceremony and collation at the Cambridge Road end. A brochure will also be available highlighting Battle Road's history and the list of Woburn men who served. 

This event is part of Woburn's 375th anniversary celebration. It represents an extraordinary opportunity to recognize the rich heritage of the great city of Woburn and the significant contributions of the men and women who have gone before us. Be A Part of WorldFest 2017

WorldFest 2017 is now accepting performance and food/craft vendor applications! The event will take place on Sunday, May 21 from 1-5pm at Library Field, 63 Harrison Ave. Woburn MA. Taking place in WorldFest allows your organization or business to showcase its unique culture and diversity, as well as providing a platform to advertise a performance or food dish that represents your business.

We are looking for multicultural performers, vendors serving ethnic foods, people and/or businesses to display their cultural arts & crafts or participants interested in providing children's activities. If you would like to apply to be one of our vendors or performers, click here to fill out our application

Friends of the Woburn Public Library Fundraiser

Terrarium to be created at Plant Night

Friends of the Woburn Public Library will be having a plant night fundraiser, hosted by Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill on Wednesday, April 12 at 7pm. The fundraiser will be in support of Friends of the Library, who in turn support museum passes and Woburn Public Library programs.

Tickets are $50 per person - this includes a meal provided by Scoreboard as well as the creation of a rectangular succulent terrarium! Plant night is for adults ages 21+ and all drinks must be purchased at Scoreboard.
