American Legion and the Blues for Veterans Association host "A Night of Blues"

Please join the Blues for Veterans Association at the American Legion for a great night of music and support for our veterans! "A Night of Blues," a benefit to support our local veterans, will take place on Saturday, February 18 from 7-11:30pm at the American Legion Post 101 (199 Lexington St.).

Headlining the event will be Mr. NIck and the Dirty Tricks, and opening will be the Blue Troubadours with Larry Powers and Jack Kelly. There is limited space available. Tickets are $10/person.

Library Park Blues Festival for Veterans

The Library Park Blues Festival to benefit Woburn Veterans will take place from 1-8 p.m. on August 29 at Library Field, located on Harrison Avenue. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. with the Posting of the Colors at 12:45 p.m.

Acts include Michelle Willson and the Evil Gal Orchestra; New England Blues Summit featuring Darrell Nulisch and Matt Stubbs; The Charlie Keating Band; Drivin' Blind; 12:01 Blues Band and The Peacheaters.

The Mess Hall will feature three food vendors, including Lester’s Roadside BBQ, The Sausage Guy and Lisa’s Family Pizzeria. The Swamp will sell beer and wine and the Officers Club will be open to sergeant, captain and major sponsors.

Gates open at 12:30 p.m. with the Posting of the Colors at 12:45 p.m. The Mess Hall will feature three food vendors, including Lester’s Roadside BBQ, The Sausage Guy and Lisa’s Family Pizzeria. The Swamp will sell beer and wine and the Officers Club will be open to sergeant, captain and major sponsors. Join the Blues for Veterans Association for the first ever Library Park Blues Festival and show your support for local veterans!

Headlining the music festival will be Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters along with other entertaining Blues acts.

Tickets are $20 per person and children under 12 attend for free.

Library Park Blues Festival for Veterans

The Blues for Veterans Association will be hosting the first ever Library Park Blues Festival on Saturday, August 24th from 11:00 a.m.- 11:00 p.m. at Harrison Ave. in Woburn.

Headlining the music festival will be Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters along with other entertaining Blues acts. Tickets are $20 per person and children under 12 attend for free. All profits from the festival will be donated to charitable organizations that support local veterans and their families such as: the American Legion Operation Comfort Warriors, H.O.T. (Helping Our Troops), Friends of Woburn Veterans and the Edith Norse VA Hospital in Bedford, MA.

There will also be a Friends of Woburn Veterans Motorcycle Run sponsored by Patriot Riders of America. Registration in the motorcycle run includes admission to the Blues Festival.

The Blues for Veterans Association was organized by local business women and men along with local citizens whose common goal is to show our veterans we care.
