The Woburn Community Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of its 2014-2015 Grant Program.  Educational Professionals from the Woburn Public Schools are invited to apply for funds to support their creative ideas for educational programs or projects that are not funded by the regular school budget.  Grants of up to $1,000 will be made to support new initiatives at any grade level and in any subject, to include the arts, sciences, literacy, math, social studies, physical education and 21st Century skills.

Green Schools is a non profit organization helping K-16 schools and communities develop engaging environmental programs for students across the Commonwealth and beyond. They are bringing their award-winning programs to Mansfield, MA on Sunday, November 18th!

If you are a parent, student, or educator, this is a great event for you to attend. Parents will have the opportunity to learn how to become more involved with the Green Schools Scholarship Fund. Students will learn how to become student Ambassadors. Teachers will learn how to bring various programs, resources and awards to their schools.

Special Education Workshop for Parents

The Woburn Special Education Parent Advisory Council (PAC) will present a free workshop entitled "An IEP (Individualized Education Program) for My Child." This workshop takes parents step-by-step through IEP development including how to articulate a vision for your child's future, using evaluations to write measurable goals, and measuring your child's progress. This workshop will be held at the Joyce Middle School, 55 Locust Street, on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00.
