Woburn's 375th Anniversary Kickoff Interfaith Celebration

As the kick-off event for Woburn's 375th Anniversary celebration, the First Congregational Church of Woburn will be hosting an Interfaith Celebration on Sunday, January 8th at 2pm. The event will feature a local children's choir led by Lynn Burns, the Woburn Memorial High School Choir, Mishawum Choral Society, and a special 375th anniversary choir led by Brian Gilbertie. The celebration will also feature a re-enactment of the ordination of Woburn's first minister, Rev. Thomas Carter, in 1642.

On Saturday, April 12 the First Congregational Church will host an open house. This event will take place at the First Congregational Church located at 322 Main Street in Woburn from 2:30 pm until 5 pm. The church will be celebrating the restoration of the steeple that was damaged in a hurricane a few years back. Rev. Dr. Richard Weisenbach will present a brief celebratory service at 3 pm. Mayor Scott Galvin will speak in recognition of the restoration. After the ceremony there will be light refreshments of cake and coffee.
