Friends of the Woburn Public Library Annual Book Sale

On Saturday, June 14 the Friends of the Woburn Public Library will host their annual book sale event. This event will take place at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn from 10 am until 6 pm. Saturday's book sale is open to everyone. Individuals can donate books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs for the book sale from now until Thursday, June 12th.

On Friday, June 13 the Friends of the Woburn Public Library will host their annual book sale. This event will take place at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street from 4-7 pm. Friday's book sale is only open to members of the Friends of the Woburn Public Library. Individuals can donate books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs from now until Thursday June 12th.

On Thursday, May 1 the Friends of the Woburn Public Library will host Howard Johnson- 28 Flavors. This event will take place at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street beginning at 7:00 pm. Local historian and author, Anthony Sammarco will be the guest speaker of the night. He will present a slide lecture on his recent book, “The History of Howard Johnson’s: How a Massachusetts Soda Fountain Became a Roadside Icon”.

On Thursday, March 13 the Friends of the Woburn Public Library will host Coffee and Conversation about The Art Forager. This event will take place at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn beginning at 7 pm. Barbara Shapiro's The Art Forager was the book selected for this year's Woburn Reads event. The Art Forager has been on the New York Times Bestseller list, as well as a list published by the Boston Globe. Join Andrea Baker, Assistant Director of the Woburn Public Library, for coffee and conversation about the selected book.

On Thursday, March 6 the Woburn Historical Society and Friends of the Woburn Public Library have teamed up together for the launch of Woburn Reads 2014, a community reading experience. Woburn Reads will have several events taking place throughout the month of March. The first event will take place at Woburn Memorial High School located at 88 Montvale Avenue beginning at 7 pm. The book that was chosen for this year's Woburn Reads event is titled "The Art Forager" written by Barbara Shapiro.
