Gala and Dinner for St. John's Baptist Church

On Saturday, October 24th, 2009 there will be a gala and dinner being held at the Hilton/Woburn Hotel, 2 Forbes Rd., Woburn.  The gala will consist of dinner, dancing and fellowship from 7:00pm - midnight.  Semi-formal attire please. 

Ticket donations are $50 per person and the meal for the evening is chicken, potatoes and seasonal vegetables. 

Woburn Public Library 6th Annual Gala

The Woburn Public Library Annual Auction and Dinner (the "Library Gala") will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Café Escadrille in Burlington at 6:00 P.M..  This event is the major fundraising event for the library. 
 
This is their 6th Gala and the Committee under Chairman Joanne McNamee’s direction has been working very hard to make the event  interesting and unique.   For example, at this year’s event author Christopher Klein will entertain us with stories from his recently published book  “The Die-Hard Sports Fan’s Guide to Boston”.   He will talk about Boston’s legendary sports history and provide some little-known facts that will test the knowledge of even the most die-hard fan.
