Spence Farm / Soluna Garden Farm Workshops
Spring and Summer 2013

Organic Herb Gardening, April 21, 1:00 pm at the Woburn Farmers Market
In this workshop, you will learn about growing an organic herb garden. We will cover all of the information you need to successfully grow your own herb garden this summer.
·Herbs for different uses (food, medicine, crafts)
·Growth patterns of annual, biennial, and perennial herbs
·Soil, water, and sunlight requirements
·Maintenance of your herb garden
·Sources for herb plants

During the class, we will plan an herb garden near the walking paths at Spence Farm as an example, and then in late May or early June we invite all workshop participants to come to the farm to plant the herb garden for the public to enjoy (date to be agreed upon after input from workshop participants).
