The McTeggart's Play This Friday Night at Horn Pond

The McTeggart’s are scheduled to play this Friday, August 2 at Horn Pond. This concert will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ice House Park section of Horn Pond, near the intersection of Beacon St. and Sturgis St. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for this concert will be Thursday, August 8.

The McTeggart’s concert is being sponsored by McCue Garden Center. McCue’s will generously be providing free steamed corn on the cob for all concert attendees and a dance floor to feature an Irish Step Dancing demonstration by Miss Louise’s School of Dance.

The McTeggart's are Jimmy Byrne and Mike O'Brien. Jimmy hails from Cork and Mike hails from Dublin. Together, their dulcet tones and superb musicianship make for one of the most sought after folk Irish bands in America and abroad.
Jimmy and Mike are one of the most traveled duos on the Irish American music scene. They have  been  together for over 30 years and played venues throughout Canada and the U.S., Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and New Brunswick, Colorado, Illinois,  Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, Florida, Virginia and Washington, D.C., and  Seoul, Korea.

This is the eleventh year that the Horn Pond Summer Concert Series will entertain Woburn residents. The concerts are a perfect way to spend summer nights with your fellow community members and enjoy the beautiful Horn Pond area.

Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to Ice House Park to enjoy free concerts on select nights throughout the summer. With generous support from local businesses, the Concert Series is free to the public. For a full schedule including dates, band line-up, and sponsors, please visit

The Summer Concert Series is coordinated by Social Capital Inc. (SCI), North Suburban Y, Woburn Residents’ Environmental Network (WREN), and the City of Woburn. A special thank you goes out to the Woburn DPW for their logistical assistance.
