Representative Jay Kaufman's Open House Series, a public policy forum, is doing things a little differently this month. They will be hosting back to back folk concerts for May Music Month!

On Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m., come to the historic Depot in Lexington Center (13 Depot Square) for a performance by singer/songwriter David Roth. David's songs have found their way to Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, several "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books, the Kennedy Center, NASA's Space Shuttle "Atlantis," Peter, Paul, & Mary concerts, the Kingston Trio's new CD, and two songbooks and twelve CDs of his own!

On Tuesday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m., singer/songwriter Hugh Moffatt will perform! The list of artists who have recorded Hugh's songs includes Jerry Lee Lewis, Ronnie Milsap, Alabama, Dolly Parton, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Johnny Cash plus many others from all styles of music. He has released nine CDs and toured extensively around the world, although May 14 marks one of his rare New England appearances.

These concerts are FREE and continue a tradition of occasional music evenings to complement the usual policy and political discussions that have marked the 18 years of the forum series!

Update: Attorney General Martha Coakley has cancelled her appearance for this week's "OPEN HOUSE." "OPEN HOUSE" will resume with two musical evenings in May, the first on Tuesday, May 7th and the second on Tuesday, May 14th.

Representative Jay Kaufman's
next Open House Series will feature special guest Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley! Join them on Thursday, April 18th from 7-8:30PM at the historic Depot in Lexington Center (13 Depot Square) as they take in depth look at the type of work that goes on in the Attorney General's Office.

As the Chief Lawyer and law enforcement officer in the state, Ms. Coakley is responsible for combating fraud and corruption, protecting civil rights, promoting economic recovery and ensuring consumer protection for all.

As always, there will be time for questions from the audience members, so come prepared with some thoughtful ones.
