Join the Woburn Guild of Artists on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm for "Up Close and Personal," a photography demonstration presented by Gerry Kehoe

Kehoe will go over Macro Photography and help you perfect your technique of taking close up photos. The demonstration will also go over obtaining equipment, types of lighting and other general techniques. Handouts will also be available and a list of helpful websites to visit.

This demonstration will take place at New Horizons at Choate, Terrace Lounge, 21 Warren Ave., Woburn.

Join the Griffin Museum of Photography (67 Shore Road) in Winchester, MA for the opening reception of an exhibit by the talented artists of the Photography Atelier class. They have been working extremely hard on putting together this amazing photo gallery and now they want to share their work with you!

The artists will be in attendance at this event. The atelier is a unique portfolio-making course designed for emerging to advanced photographers. This course is in its 17th year and it prepares artists to market, exhibit and present their work to industry professionals.

Photo Gallery at Griffin Museum

The Griffin Museum of Photography will be hosting a photography exhibit featuring the artwork of the students and faculty in the Photography Atelier course, which prepares emerging and advanced artists to market, exhibit and present their work to industry professionals.

To see their amazing photos, come to the opening reception on Thursday night where the artists themselves will be in attendance! This exhibit will remain open until March 30th.

Join the Friends of Mary Cummings Park for their monthly photo walk on Saturday, March 2 from 10AM to noon! Photo walks take place on the first Saturday of every month, rain or shine.

These photo walks are led by Burlington photographer Jon Sachs. Jon has extensive experience with nature photography. The walks are divided into two 1 hour walks, giving people the option to attend half or both of the walks.

Participants in the walk will meet at Blanchard Road, near the big blue water tower. Parking will be available on the street. For more information about the monthly photo walks and to see a map of the park, click here.

Mary Cummings Park is the 12th largest public parkland inside of Route 128 and is located in Burlington and Woburn, off of the Cambridge Street town line. The park has 210 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadows, presenting numerous opportunities for recreation and artisitic creations.

Horn Pond

Join the Griffin Photography Museum for Horn Pond Photographs by Sean Gold at the Aberjona River Gallery (184 Swanton St., Winchester, MA). This photo gallery open up on Tuesday, February 26 and runs until April 22.

Come see amazing photographs of Woburn's favorite Horn Pond. Photographer Sean Gold has been inspired by the breathtaking views at the Pond for most of his life and it is the site where he perfected his craft as a photographer!

There will be a "Reception with the Artist" on March 19 at the gallery from 6:00-7:30PM.
