The Woburn Host Lions Club and the Woburn High School Leo Club are hosting the 1st Annual Monster Dash at Lions Park at Horn Pond on Sunday, October 21 from 1pm-5pm. Wear your favorite costume and win prizes for best costume! Register for the races for children and adults. Other highlights include a cookout, a DJ, and the Woburn High School Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams dressed up as zombies and monsters. All proceeds from the event go to the Lions charities.

Does all this rain have you wanting to spend time in the sun?  This weekend is supposed to be sunny, and there is no better way to kick it off than to volunteer at the Horn Pond Day Race!

The North Suburban YMCA is looking for a few more volunteers to help out at this race, beginning at 8am.  For more information on volunteer roles, and to register, please contact Jeremy Stiles at jstiles@ymcaboston.org or 781-935-3270.

Be Well Woburn invites you to an evening of fun and fitness on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. (rain date is June 23) at Woburn Memorial High School track for Dads and kids (ages 5-10), in honor of Father’s Day. Just like the popular television show, the father and child teams will complete a variety of physical and nutrition challenges as they ‘travel around the world’. This promises to be a fun filled event for all involved! Challenges include karate, lacrosse, and tasing various nutritious foods. This is not a drop-off event—just like the popular TV show, children and the adult partners will participate in the challenges as a team.
