Proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities and science programs are due October 15, 2014.

The Woburn Cultural Council has set the October 15, 2014 postmark deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community. According to Council spokesperson Joanne Mulkerin, these grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Woburn - including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

The  50th Anniversary Celebration is right around the corner and the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn want YOU to join in! Come on Saturday, September 20th from 6pm to 11pm, to right outside of the Club itself at 1 Charles Gardner Ln, Woburn, MA. A catered buffet dinner, dancing, photo booth, cash bar, champagne toast and more will all be a part of the fun. Tickets cost $125.00 and can be purchased at www.bgcwoburn.org. This gala benefits the club's activities throughout the year. All alumni, friends, community members and others are welcome to join!
