A Woburn Memorial High School student, Kelly Garrity is in the running for an athletic scholarship from Hood Milk, but she needs your votes!

Kelly is an excellent runner and she and 3 other team members just recently ran in the Nationals in New York City. About a month ago, her track team broke the Woburn High School record.

The famous broadway musical "Annie" is coming to the Woburn Memorial High School (88 Montvale Ave.) on Thursday, March 21st and Friday, March 22nd!

"Annie" is based on the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years.

"Annie" has been performed in many different countries, on national tours and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical's songs "Tomorrow" and "It's a Hard-Knock Life" are among its most popular musical numbers.

The show at the high school will kick off at 7:00PM. Admission is $10, students and seniors pay $8, and children under six get in for free.

Youth Choir

There are so many opportunities to celebrate this holiday season! The Fine Arts Department at the Woburn Public Schools is providing you with some great options:

On Tuesday, December 4, check out the Holiday Concert at the Kennedy Middle School. The concert kicks off at 6:30pm and admission is free (donations will be accepted at the door). Come enjoy some holiday classics, new and old, performed by the school choir and band.

On Thursday, December 13, join the Woburn Memorial High School for Winterfest! The show will start at 7:00pm. Admission is $5, $3 for seniors and children, and free for children under 6. Audiences will be entertained by  musical performances from the Concert Choir, Acappella Choir, Drumline and Concert Band.

On Wednesday, December 19, come to the Holiday Show at the Joyce Middle School! The concert will kick off at 7:00pm. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.

Woburn Historical Society logo

Calling all history buffs! Join the Woburn Historical Society on Monday, December 3 at the Woburn Memorial High School auditorium for a film showing of "In The Cause of Liberty; Woburn In The Civil War." 

This film will highlight the lives of Woburn soldiers and the battles they were in such as Gettysburg, Weldon Railroad, and Petersburg.

This film showing is FREE and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm. Light refreshments will be served after the showing.

Copies of the dvd will be available for purchase for $25 and will include a supplement containing many pictures of Woburn Civil War soldiers!
