On Thursday October 3, the Burbeen Free Lecture Series will be taking place at a new time and location. The series will kick off at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn. Doors to the event will open at 6:00 pm and the show will begin at 6:30 pm.

The first of the lecture series will begin with, "America's Hot Spots: Our Volcanic Legacy" narrated and presented by Gray Warriner. This showing will take a look at the volcanic heritage of the Hawaiian Islands, Pacific Northwest, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon.

On Saturday October 19th from 7 - 11 pm, the Woburn Public Library is hosting their third annual Haunted Halloween Happening fundraiser. This event is for adult 21 and older. There will be food, music, fun, and prizes including Best Costume. Even if you do not come in costume you are still able to have a great time.

Haunted Halloween Happenings

On Saturday October 19, the Woburn Public Library will be hosting their 3rd annual Haunted Halloween Happening fundraiser. This event is for adults 21 and older. It will have food, music, prizes, games, and much more. Tickets for this event are $25, you can purchase them in person at the Library or online at www.woburnpubliclibrary.org. 

Scarecrows for Solutions

Come support the community you live in and spend time with your family by decorating a scarecrow at McCue Garden Center located at 200 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA. The event will take place from 7am-6pm on Sunday October 13. The $15 donation to create your one of a kind scarecrow will help benefit either the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn or the Woburn Public Library, whichever you decide.

The Woburn Public Library is hosting its Third Annual Ice Cream Social on the lawn at the Woburn Public Library on Sunday, July 28 from 2-5 p.m. Whole Foods Market will provide all-you-can-eat ice cream and toppings.
There will be music and old-fashioned family fun all. Tickets are $5 per adult and $3 per child 12 and under. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call the library at 781-933-0148 or click here.
