Holiday Ornament Craft

Come in and join the Library and decorate ornaments for your family. Children ages 7-12 are invited to come and decorate ornaments. Children must be able to work independently, please respect the age limits.

Ornament designs will vary from simple to complicated. All supplies will be provided, please be on time for the best selection of ornaments to paint! Come make a wonderful gift for someone this holiday season!

Woburn Library

On Saturday November 23, the Friends of the Woburn Public Library and Burbeen Free Lecture Series will host former Red Sox great Bernie Carbo. This event will take place at the Library located at 45 Pleasant Street at 1:00 pm.

Most people remember Carbo for his pinch hit 3 run homer that tied the game in the 8th inning of the World Series Game 6 in 1975. In his book "Saving Bernie Carbo", co-written by Chelmsford clinical psychologist Dr. Peter Hantzis, we learn about Carbo's personal struggles, dysfunctional upbringing, and other events in his life.

On Saturday November 3, the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street will be hosting their Farino Photo Program. Library volunteer Linda Olsson will present the next Community Conservation featuring photographs from the Patrick Farino Collection at the Library.

Haunted House Scene

On Saturday October 19, the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street will be hosting their Third Annual Haunted Halloween Happenings event. This event is for adults 21 and older. There will be food, beer, wine, music, and dancing. The event will also have a fortune teller and an abundance of Halloween games! Costumes are optional for this event, be sure to not miss out on this fun-filled evening! Tickets for this haunted happening are $25. Tickets can be purchased at the Library or online at


On both Saturday and Sunday October 12 and 13, McCue Garden Center, located at 200 Cambridge Road in Woburn, will be hosting Scarecrows for Solutions. The event is scheduled to take place from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. Scarecrows for Solutions will help benefit both the Boys and Girls Club and the Woburn Public Library.

Woburn Library

On Thursday October 3, the Burbeen Free Lecture Series will be taking place at a new time and location. The series will kick off at the Woburn Public Library located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn. Doors to the event will open at 6:00 pm and the show will begin at 6:30 pm.

The first of the lecture series will begin with, "America's Hot Spots: Our Volcanic Legacy" narrated and presented by Gray Warriner. This showing will take a look at the volcanic heritage of the Hawaiian Islands, Pacific Northwest, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon.

On Saturday October 19th from 7 - 11 pm, the Woburn Public Library is hosting their third annual Haunted Halloween Happening fundraiser. This event is for adult 21 and older. There will be food, music, fun, and prizes including Best Costume. Even if you do not come in costume you are still able to have a great time.
