About Us

Social Capital Inc.(SCI) Woburn unites dedicated volunteers and community groups to encourage active participation of ALL Woburn residents in the life of our community. We believe that Woburn is at its best when people know their neighbors, volunteer on community projects, and participate in our democratic system.

SCI Woburn achieves its mission of building social capital and increasing civic engagement by:

1. Engaging Youth through the Woburn Youth Council and other projects;
2. Uniting Diverse Individuals and Groups through projects like the Citizens Park Summer Concert series;
3. Developing Community Leaders through our Leadership Woburn program;
4. Connecting Citizens to Information (Civic Welcome Wagon, this website and the SCI Woburn email list).
