Interfaith and Historic Celebration to honor Woburn's 375th Anniversary

Invitation to the Interfaith and Historic Celebration

Woburn's 375th Anniversary Celebration is set to kick off this week, with an exciting line-up of events throughout the year. The Woburn City Hall released a tentative list of the goings-on that you can expect for 2017.

On January 8th at 2pm, the first event in celebrating the New Year will be the Interfaith and Historic Celebration to take place at the First Congregational Church. The keynote speaker of the event will be Massachusetts state Senator Ed Markey! Also featured will be a local children's choir led by Lynn Burns, the High School Choir, the Mishawum Choral Society, and a special 375th community choir, led by Brian Gilbertie. There will also be a re-enactment of the ordination of Woburn's first minister, Rev. Thomas Carter, in 1642.
