SCI Welcomes Our Newest AmeriCorps Member
Social Capital Inc. is happy to welcome our newest AmeriCorps member, Mollie O'Brien, to the team! Mollie will be serving in Woburn, primarily working in volunteer outreach, as well as performing various other general SCI outreach tasks. She started with us last week and will be continuing her service until June. If you see her around Woburn, do not hesitate to introduce yourself!
Mollie is very excited to start her AmeriCorps service year with Social Capital Inc.! The first project she will be working on for SCI Woburn is the Woburn Volunteers for Seniors project. This project will connect local volunteers with senior citizens, who need help with seasonal outdoor chores. Mollie O'Brien is a local native of North Andover, MA. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in anthropology, focused on the intersection of culture and healthcare. She has traveled to a number of different countries, from Ghana to Greece, on various service projects emphasizing volunteerism, community engagement, and healthcare initatives. She most recently worked for a year and a half at Education First in Cambridge, an educational travel company focused on connecting international exchange students with local American host families.
