Traces of the Trade Showing on Friday
In case you missed it when SCI and St. John's Baptist Church hosted a screening of Traces of the Trade a few years ago, it is showing again in Lexington Friday evening. This Sundance nominated film is a provocative documentary about a prominent New England family coming to terms with the recent discovery that their ancestors were major slave traders. Several family members, including former SCI Board Chair Dain Perry, retrace the "triangle trade route" as they learn more about their family's past.
The showing is Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Grace Chapel in Lexington, co-sponsored by the Town of Lexington and Grace Chapel. It is open to the public, more details here http://www.grace.org/events.
