Upcoming #WoburnUnites Events

Flyers for two #WoburnUnites events

#WoburnUnites is a homegrown effort dedicated to making Woburn a welcoming place for ALL by creating programming that fosters community and understanding. It is made up of a coalition of community organizations who all share the vision of a healthier and happier city. Through the coordination of programs and events surrounding the ideas of cultural diversity and acceptance, #WoburnUnites hopes to encourage residents of Woburn to come together and share in our differences.

To start off the new year, there are a couple of events already in the works! These include a podcast discussion group at the Woburn Public LIbrary, as well as an immigrants rights event at the United Methodist Church.

On Wednesday, January 25, the Woburn Public Library will host a podcast discussion group on the TEDTalk, "Just A Little Nicer." The event is free and will begin at 7 pm. On Saturday, January 28, the United Methodist Church will host an all-day event, "Standing Together: Justice for & with our Immigrant Neighbors." It will begin at 10am and go until 3pm, but residents are NOT required to stay for the whole event (doors will be open all day). It will feature a number of speakers focusing on the topic of immigrants rights and inclusion. Lastly, on Thursday, February 9, the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, in collaboration with SCI, will host the second Community Forum on Race Relations from 7-9pm.

Please join us for both of these great events!
