Volunteer Opportunity of the Week!

Do you have an interest in community health and human services and want to take a leadership role with an innovative organization? Neighbor Brigade is looking for a co-leader for their Woburn Chapter!

Neighbor Brigade
establishes and mobilizes community-based networks of volunteers to provide immediate and free support services for residents experiencing a sudden crisis such as a cancer diagnosis, accident, or other tragedy. They have 40 chapters, 39 in the Greater Boston area and one out-of-state pilot program in Dover, NH. Their volunteer pool currently totals 4,300 individuals.

Each of the chapters is led by a volunteer chapter leader, or preferably a pair of chapter leaders. They use volunteer management software to manage and communicate with their volunteers. They conduct outreach to hospitals, schools, and other health and human service agencies, and also accept self-referrals.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop and manage a volunteer network within your town
• Conduct intake of recipients and post requests for help on online calendar
• Conduct community outreach to partnering organizations, such as schools and other family service agencies.
If interested, please contact Director of Operations Kristie Oberlies at: kristie@neighborbrigade.org or 978-897-4540.
