Volunteer Woodland Restoration Event: MLK Day 2015

When you're off from school or work on MLK Day this year, why not give back to a community that needs you?

Join many at the Franklin Park Clubhouse in the morning for a discussion about what Ferguson means for Franklin Park and the communities you care about. Afterwards, volunteers will head into the park to help clear invasives that are killing young native trees and do other green improvement projects.

Bring a bag lunch and snacks, as they'll have coffee and donuts to start the day! Wear layers and leave your nylon jackets at home, they can get torn in the woodlands.

If sending a large group, please contact Asia at agarcia@socialcapitalinc.org. Student, church, neighborhood, youth, college, etc. groups are most welcome! While it is a hike for many Woburn residents, it is important that we take an active interest and engage in the needs of our Boston neighbors. Consider volunteering here on MLK Day!
