Winter Classic pond hockey tournament and Family Winter Festival

The city of Woburn is hosting a Winter Classic pond hockey tournament and Family Winter Festival at Leland Park, 87 Central Street!

It will all start with the 3 on 3 pond hockey tournament on Saturday, February 11 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the event playoffs on Sunday, February 12 from 10 AM to 2 PM. There will be a ceremonial puck drop at the start of the event on Saturday at 9 AM with Woburn's own Fred Domenici singing the national anthem.

The Winter Festival portion of the event will start at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11th and ending with fireworks at 6PM.

The event will feature the following:

Food Trucks

Effie Coffee Cabin serving coffee, latte, cocoa, tea, cider etc (at the event both days: Saturday 9-9 and Sunday 10-2)

Northeast of the Border serving tacos and chips and salsa

Sheherazad Food Truck serving soups, chowder and wraps

Trolley Dogs serving hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers and fries.

Live music starting with The Cameo Trio at 1:00 PM and Marybeth Maes Band at 3:30 PM in the heated tent.

Childrens Public Ice Skating Rink: There will be skates available for children who do not have skates courtesy of Woburn Youth Hockey.

5 Bon Fires with S'more makings being provided by Woburn Boy Scout Troops 502 & 519 for a small charge.

Ice Sculptures- watch as talented artisans cut and shape blocks of ice into beautiful pieces of art right before your eyes.

Hay Rides and A Farm Animal Petting Zoo presented by Charminfaire Farms of Candia New Hampshire.

There will also be childrens games and other surprises.

The Winter Festival will end at 6 PM with the singing of the national anthem by Woburn's own Fred Domenici and a fabulous fireworks display being put on by Atlas PyroVision of Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
