Woburn Host Lions Club 62nd Annual Halloween Parade
Mark your calendar for this year's 62nd Woburn Host Lions Club Halloween Parade, which will be taking place this Sunday, October 30th at 1 pm! The parade is an amazing display of community spirit, as over 80,000 people join together to watch the bands and floats, and celebrate the true spirit of Halloween. You won't want to miss it! The parade route starts at the Crowne Plaza Woburn and travels down Main St. through Woburn Center, ending at Horn Pond.
Don't forget that Woburn Host Lions Club uses the parade to raise money for the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund - they are still in need of funding to put the parade down the route! Click this link in order to make a donation.
Woburn's annual Halloween parade is a fall New England event that you don't want to miss! The parade will begin at 1 pm, running approximately 2.2 miles until Horn Pond (it takes just about 1.5 hours to walk the route!). The event hosts over 25 bands a year, from the University of New Hampshire and Mass Maritime, to local high school and community bands. There are also 90+ parade floats from local groups and organizations that participate. Special shout-out to Doug Huynh from WMHS Computer Art class for designing a new-and-improved Halloween parade poster, which you can check out here.
Woburn Lions Club funds the parade and they are just shy of their 50k mark - they are still graciously accepting any and all donations on their website: http://woburnhalloweenparade.org/.
