The Woburn Public Library and SCI Woburn are teaming up to bring another unique opportunity to the community: The Human Library.

Well. It’s sort of an interesting thing. This event aims to create a safe space where one-on-one dialogue can lead to greater understanding, compassion and acceptance. Our goal, here, is to encourage community members (our “books” share their stories with other community members (“readers”, if you like) in short, one-on-one conversations.

Youth Shoveling

We are seeking volunteers to help rake leaves and shovel snow for Woburn residents in need. For the past several years we have worked along side the Woburn Senior Center to identify people in need and match them with volunteers across Woburn. We are working to find some matches again this year. If you are able to volunteer this year to rake leaves or shovel out a senior in a neighborhood near you, please click here email Jenna and she will work to match you with someone that is in need.

Cooks for Cultural Connections Flyer

Would you like to share your culture through cooking?

After a very successful series of events last year the #WoburnUnites Cultural Connections Supper Clubs Project is seeking diverse community members with a love of cooking who would like to share some favorite dishes that represent their heritage.

Teach small groups of the Woburn community about your culture as you prepare a meal together.

All events will take place in a public kitchen. A stipend will be provided for supplies.

The Human Library

This event aims to create a safe space where one-on-one dialogue can lead to greater understanding, compassion and acceptance. Our goal, here, is to encourage community members (our “books” share their stories with other community members (“readers”, if you like) in short, one-on-one conversations.

Share your unique story of hardship, challenge and triumph in short one-on-one conversations. Real stories, real people, real conversations.
