Feeling Anxious? Emotional School Supplies for an Unexpected Year
Woburn Parent Network, a collaboration between SCI Woburn, Woburn Public Schools and The James L. McKeown Boys and Girls Club, was formed in April to help bring relevant programming to and encourage productive conversation between the parents of Woburn. As part of a Back to School series WPN is presenting another great program on Monday, September 14 at 6 PM.
As we approach the beginning of the school year many parent’s heads are spinning with questions and concerns. What will our days look like? How will my child cope with this new normal? How can I best support my children while also taking care of myself? It is very easy to become overwhelmed with all of the unknown. Kristen Herlihy, local mom, life and fitness coach and licsw will be discussing “Feeling Anxious? Emotional School Supplies for an Unexpected Year.” Parents, clear away emotional triggers, mental road blocks and hidden feelings by learning coping skills for establishing a balanced academic year.
Please join us on zoom for our next program Monday, September 14 at 6 PM. Grab a cup of tea, get comfortable and learn some skills for starting this school year off on the right foot!

This project is funded through CHNA 15 DoN funds from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Since April, WPN has presented 5 events through Zoom with another 2 scheduled to take place in the next several weeks.
The goal of Woburn Parent Network is to connect parents and families in Woburn with each other for mutual support and with the resources necessary to thrive. Community connectivity and support is essential now more than ever before due to the global health crisis we are experiencing.
