The Summer Concert Series Committee is proud to announce the 2013 Horn Pond Summer Concert Series! The Horn Pond Summer Concert Series is a collection of free concerts designed to promote community spirit organized by SCI and sponsored by local businesses.

This year’s concert series will again be held at Ice House Park at Horn Pond. Ice House Park is the name of the flat grassy area that runs along Sturgis Street, to the right of the boat ramp. For your comfort and enjoyment, please remember to bring folding chairs or a blanket and insect repellant.

We have an exciting lineup of bands scheduled this year! All the concerts will be held on Friday evenings, unless a rain date is needed.

Come enjoy some delicious Greek food and music for three days and three nights at the Greek Festival in Woburn! Hosted by the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Woburn (70 Montvale Ave.), this festival will kick off on Friday, June 7th from 11AM-11PM.

On Friday, attendees will enjoy live Greek music and dancing with Ta Dilina and the Sons & Daughters of Alexander the Great (Greek dance group). On Saturday, June 8th from 11AM-11PM, attendees will be treated to live music by Orfeas, and on Sunday, June 9th from 12PM-7PM, guests will enjoy another performance by the Sons & Daughters of Alexander the Great as well as Greek dance music spun by the Salonica Boys. On all three days, guests will get the opportunity to take a guided tour of the church!

Parking will be available at the Church and at the Woburn High School. A FREE shuttle will be available from 5-11PM on Friday and Saturday.

On Monday, April 29th, Woburn Memorial High School (88 Montvale Ave.) will be hosting a celebration of the arts including a free art exhibit and musical performances.

The art exhibit opens up in the main lobby at 6PM. It will feature a comprehensive display of work from the visual art department including examples of drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and computer graphics created by students in grades nine through twelve. 

The musical performances will kick off at 7PM in the Flaherty Auditorium. An evening of music will be provided by show choir, Accapella, chorus and senior solos. Admission is $5.00, students and seniors $3.00, and under 6 is free.

Want to share a piece of your culture through music or dance? SCI and the YMCA International Learning Center are currently looking for people or groups who would be interested in volunteering to do a 15-30 minute performance at WorldFest on Sunday, May 19th from 2-5PM.

WorldFest is all about celebrating diversity in the community, and putting on a great festival for the whole family to enjoy! If you would like to be a part of this fun and welcoming celebration, while showcasing your culture through music or dance, then apply to be one of our performers this year!
