Help at the Appliance Recycling Event!

The Medeiros Crew Appliance Recycling is back!  On Saturday, April 21, from 9am to 1pm, volunteers are needed to help community members recycle appliances at Spence Farm.  This is a great opportunity to get 4 community service hours!  For more information, please contact Rodney Flynn at FVirgos01801@aol.com.

Come volunteer at the City of Woburn Soccer Shack!  Volunteers are needed every Saturday for the soccer season.  Volunteers are essential to keep the shack up and running for the players and keep fees low for the parents.  You get to pick which Saturday and the shift! To volunteer, email soceershack@gmail.com the date that you would like to volunteer and the shift that you are interested in.  Shifts are: 10am-12pm, 11am-1pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-3:30pm.

April is Autism Awareness Month, and our friends at NuPath Inc. have a number of exciting events scheduled!  From movie nights and book signings all the way to the “Walk the Walk for Autism Awareness”, there are many different opportunities for volunteers to get involved!

For more information about upcoming events and ways to become involved, please contact Ilana Rubin, Outreach & Technology Coordinator, at irubin@socialcapitalinc.org.

Looking for something fun to do this weekend?  The North Suburban YMCA is looking for some volunteers to help out at their March Madness event this Saturday.  Volunteers are needed from 2-5pm to help run craft tables, supervise games in the gym and pool, and generally just make sure families are having fun!

Do you have a skill to teach?

NuPath Inc. is looking for volunteers to teach classes to adults living with developmental disabilities.  This is a great opportunity to share your talent with others and make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.  Examples of classes needed are: photography, painting, money management, computer skills, cooking, etc. (the sky is the limit!)

Classes can be held during weekdays, evenings, or weekends depending on the volunteer’s schedule.  Although availability for multiple classes is preferred, we will gladly accommodate a volunteer who want to teach a one-time class.

For more information, contact NuPath Inc. at (781)935-7057 ext.3092.
