Mark your calendars! A mayoral debate has been scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 9th @ Woburn Memorial High School between the four candidates running for Mayor of Woburn: Charles E. Doherty, Scott D. Galvin, Joanna Gonsalves and incumbent Thomas L. McLaughlin. The doors will open at 7:00PM and the event will start at 7:30PM. Woburn residents are strongly encouraged to attend, but if you can't make it, the debate will be shown live and then replayed on the Woburn cable channel.
Each candidate will be allowed a set amount of time for opening and closing remarks, as well as one and a half minutes to answer each question posed to them by an undisclosed panel of three. John Murphy, Senior Vice President and Director of Business Development for Reading Cooperative Bank will be moderating. This event is being sponsored by the Woburn Business Association, the Woburn Times-Chronicle and the Woburn Public Media Center.
The North Suburban Chamber of Commerce invites you to an informative multi-chamber event Tuesday night at TradeCenter 128, located at 300 Tradecenter in Woburn. The event will begin at 5:30 PM. and featured guest speaker, Representative Sal DiMasi, Speaker of the House, is scheduled to make a presentation entitled The Legislature and Small Business at 6:00 p.m. The cost for this event is $10 for members of the Chamber of Commerce and $20 for future members. For no additional charge, your company can occupy 1/3 of an exhibition table. Brings lots of business cards and company information to promote your product or services.
