Dinner and Dancing for Food Allergy Group
Come out to enjoy a night of fun and support. The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) will be hosting an informational dinner about food allergies and anaphlaxis at the Sons of Italy, located at 117 Swanton Street in Winchester this Friday June 19th from 7pm to 11pm. Tickets for the event will be $25. Food Allergies are on the rise and rapidly increasing in prevalence. FAAN’s mission is to raise public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, and to advance research on behalf of those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis. read more »

SCI Woburn Youth Council Debuts "Speak Up for Healthy Teen Relationships!"
SCI's Woburn Youth Council hosted an evening screening of its recently completed Public Service Announcement (PSA) "Speak Up for Healthy Teen Relationships!" Saturday evening at the Boys & Girls Club of Woburn. The PSA was presented during an evening of activities set up for Woburn teens. A great group of teens joined Woburn Youth Council members to think about how to make teens in Woburn safer, healthier and happier. read more »

Senior Issues Discussion Group
This Wednesday, May 27th the Woburn Senior Center, located at 144 School Street, is proud to present it's next installment of their popular discussion series entitled, “Northeast Senior Health Services” presented by Carol Pallazolla from Northeast Senior Health. Let’s discuss health services available in the Woburn area. A breakfast buffet for those attending the lecture will be served at 9:45am for $1 per breakfast, supported by “Friends Helping Seniors” and AARP Secure Horizons. Breakfast will be followed by the free lecture at 10:30am. read more »

Healthy Kids Day at the Y
Saturday, April 18th, come down to the North Suburban YMCA, located at 137 Lexington Street in Woburn to put a spring in your step and start the season right. This will be an opportunity for kids and families to “Put Play in Their Day,” YMCA Healthy Kids Day, which will run from 2PM to 4PM, uses free, fun, engaging and creative activities to encourage children and families to adopt behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle. read more »

New Treats at Whole Foods for Kids with Allergies
Whole Foods was already my grocery store of choice given my interest in healthy eating, but when our son was diagnosed with nut, egg and dairy allergies at age 1, that really sealed the deal. Saturday morning trips to Whole Foods have become a regular ritual for us, as its a place we find a lot of safe and healthy options for our son. read more »
