Volunteer Opportunities

Social Capital Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit organization based in Woburn is currently seeking volunteers for their ongoing project Woburn Volunteers for Seniors. This project will match handicapped and isolated seniors with local volunteers, who will assist them in various outdoor chores such as leaf removal and snow shoveling. Volunteers will also be on call in case of sudden heavy snowfall that, without assistance, could leave many seniors homebound. SCI will collaborate with the Woburn Senior Center and Woburn Council on Aging for the project.

Hours of operation (or meeting times & dates)::

We'd love to have you visit a GENESIS Worship Gathering on a Sunday Morning.  We meet at 10:30 AM at 16 Wheeling Ave in Woburn.

Organization's Mission:

GENESIS is a brand new church in Woburn as of Fall 2009.  The purpose of GENESIS, why we exist as a community is simply to love God and love people.  In order to make this purpose a reality, we have three key words that help put our purpose into action – BEGIN. BELONG. BELIEVE.  These three words sum up our mission.  No matter where people are in relation to God, we want to help people BEGIN a relationship with God through Jesus Christ or equip people in a relationship they may have already started.  BELONG speaks to being part of a healthy, meaningful, biblical community where we can be on mission together.  BELIEVE speaks not only to what we believe, but that our belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is making a profound difference in how we relate to God, ourselves and to the world around us.

You can learn more about GENESIS at www.genesisthejourney.com or just send an e-mail with any questions to info@genesisthejounrey.com.  Hope to see you soon!
