On behalf of Mayor Galvin and the Recreation Department we invite you down to Library Park on Thursday August 20th for our annual Mayor's Field Day!

Field Day will run from 11am - 1:30pm and these are the following scheduled events:

Magic Show: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Balloon Artist: 11:00am - 1:00pm
Curious Creatures 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Bouncy House 11am - 1:00pm

34th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner

The Mayor’s 34th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner will be held this Sunday, November 6, in the Woburn Memorial High School Cafeteria.  All Woburn seniors are invited to attend this event and can pick up their free tickets at the Woburn Senior Center or at City Hall.  Over 600 tickets have already been picked up, so this is sure to be a popular event!  Join friends and neighbors at 11am for a fun

34th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner

The Mayor’s 34th Annual Senior Appreciation Dinner will be held this Sunday, November 6, in the Woburn Memorial High School Cafeteria.  All Woburn seniors are invited to attend this event and can pick up their free tickets at the Woburn Senior Center or at City Hall.  Over 600 tickets have already been picked up, so this is sure to be a popular event!  Join friends and neighbors at 11am for a fun-filled afternoon of singing, dancing, dinner, and entertainment. 
 

Woburn SealOur new Woburn Mayor, Scott Galvin, was sworn in on Monday at Woburn Memorial High School.  Additionally, the members of the City Council and School Committee were also sworn in in front of the crowd of 600. 

The new members of the City Council were Michael Anderson of Ward 4, Rosa DiTucci of Ward 1, Mark Gaffney of Ward 3, and Alderman-at-Large Richard Haggerty.

Debate Clip ArtA Mayoral debate between incumbent, Mayor Thomas McLaughlin and Scott Galvin is planned for tomorrow night, Wednesday, October 21st.  Doors open at 6:00PM and the debate will start at 6:30PM.  This debate will be moderated by John Murphy, Senior V.P. and Director of Business Development for Reading Cooperative Bank.  The debate will take place at Woburn Memorial High School and will be broadcast live on cable, courtesy of the Woburn Public Media Center.

VOTEToday, September 22nd Woburn voting booths will be open from 7am - 8pm for the 2009 preliminary election.  Don't forget to exercise your right to vote for Woburn mayor, alderman at large, and the aldermen for wards 1, 3, 4, and 7.
