Project Learn February Vacation Camp

Boys and Girls Club of WoburnThe February Vacation Club is back by popular demand. The Project Learn Extended Day Program will once again offer school age child care during February school vacation week. The February Vacation Club will serve children in Kindergarten through 7th grade. The program will be open Tuesday, February 16th through Friday, Feb. 19, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. During the week, the group will be going on a field trip. Registration materials are available on the Woburn Boys and Girls Club website or call Camp & Child Care Director Janice Mondi, 781-935-3777 for more information.

Seven New AmeriCorps Members Begin Serving Woburn

AmeriCorps LogoSocial Capital Inc. (SCI) has recently been joined by a new team of AmeriCorps Members.  These new members have been placed throughout the Woburn community, helping several different organizations expand their services to the community during this time of need.

Michael Cooper serves is serving as an Outreach and Technology Coordinator for the SCI Woburn office.  He manages the "Week in Woburn" eNews, serves as webmaster for the SCI Woburn website and operates various other web technologies for other SCI sites.  He has a B.A. in Philosophy from Furman University, an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, and is currently finishing his M.S. in Ethics and Public Policy from Suffolk University.  read more »
