On Thursday, March 6 the Woburn Historical Society and Friends of the Woburn Public Library have teamed up together for the launch of Woburn Reads 2014, a community reading experience. Woburn Reads will have several events taking place throughout the month of March. The first event will take place at Woburn Memorial High School located at 88 Montvale Avenue beginning at 7 pm. The book that was chosen for this year's Woburn Reads event is titled "The Art Forager" written by Barbara Shapiro.

Woburn Reads: Stealing Rembrandts, @ High School

Stealing Rembrandts
Hosted by the Woburn Historical Society at Woburn Memorial High School. Anthony Amore, Director of Security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and author of Stealing Rembrandts, will discuss notorious art thefts from around the world, including the Gardner heist. His book will be available for purchase.

On Saturday November 23, the Woburn Historical Society will be presenting "An Evening with Ronan Tynan". This event will take place at the Flaherty Auditorium at Woburn Memorial High School located at 88 Montvale Avenue at 7:00 pm. Ronan Tynan is a tenor in classical Irish style music. He is also a member of the acclaimed group the Irish Tenors.

On Sunday October 6, the Woburn Historical Society will be hosting their Walking Tours of the First Burial Ground. This event will be occurring multiple times throughout the afternoon. The first tour will begin at 12:00 pm, the second tour at 1:30 pm, and the final tour takes place at 3:00 pm. It is advised that you check in 15 minutes prior to your tour at the Social Center located on the ground floor of the First Baptist Church located at 3 Winn Street. Please enter through the Park Street entrance.

Walking Tour of First Burial Ground

On Sunday October 6, the Woburn Historical Society is hosting a guided walking tour of Woburn's historic First Burial Ground, one of the oldest cemeteries in the United States. The tour is free to the public and there will be mutiple tours on that day, 12pm, 1:30pm, and the final tour at 3pm. Be sure to register for this event by Friday October 4th. 3rd Annual Summer Music Program
