Woburn Historical Society Burbeen Lecture Series

On February 13, the Woburn Historical Society will be hosting a program in association with The Burbeen Free Lecture Series.  This program “Middlesex Canal – Woburn’s First Interstate: Then and Now” will be held in the Flaherty Auditorium, at Woburn Memorial High School.  Doors will open at 6:30pm with the program beginning at 7:00pm.  Refreshments will be served following the program.  Come learn about the history of Woburn!

Sing-A-Long at the Burdett Mansion

Please join the Woburn Historical Society at the Burdett Mansion on Sunday, December 18, at 7:00 pm for a holiday sing-a-long with the Living History Guild Singers. Vocalists Darlene Wigton, Maureen Vallis and Clare Hurley will once again perform holiday favorites to get you in the holiday spirit.  This also is another opportunity to view the beautifully decorated mansion.

The Woburn Historical Society invites you to An Evening of Swing, Monday, November 28, 7:00 pm at the Woburn Memorial High School auditorium. Let’s swing into the holiday season together as we listen to the extraordinary music of the big band era performed by the 25 piece Beantown Swing Orchestra featuring the vocal talents of John Stevens, an American Idol finalist and Frank Sinatra crooner, and Laura Brunner, a songstress who has the vocal power and jazz styling of Ella Fitzgerald.

The Woburn Historical Society invites you to An Evening of Swing featuring the Beantown Swing Orchestra on November 28.  Get ready to dance in your seats while listening to the vocal talents of John Stevens, a Frank Sinatra singer who was an American Idol finalist, and Laura Brunner, a singer with the vocal power and style of Ella Fitzgerald.  Doors open at 6:30pm for this free event.  

Songs of Summertime

The Woburn Historical Society’s The Living History Guild Singers will present a one hour music program, “Songs of Summertime”, on Thursday, the 11th of August beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Burdett Mansion, 7 Mishawum Road. The program includes songs through the centuries to celebrate summer. The evening will include a sing-along with selections from the ‘50s and ‘60s. The performers are musicians and vocalists Clare Hurley, Maureen Vallis, Darlene Wigton, and Jeff Workman.
