Woburn Festival on the Common

The annual Festival on the Common is coming up on Saturday, November 26th and you are invited! Join your neighbors on the Common for great events and activities. The event is at downtown Woburn Square and it's completely free! There will also be a food court hosted by local groups. The festival starts at 3pm and runs until 6:30pm.

Halloween Parade Photo

Mark your calendar for this year's 62nd Woburn Host Lions Club Halloween Parade, which will be taking place this Sunday, October 30th at 1 pm! The parade is an amazing display of community spirit, as over 80,000 people join together to watch the bands and floats, and celebrate the true spirit of Halloween. You won't want to miss it! The parade route starts at the Crowne Plaza Woburn and travels down Main St. through Woburn Center, ending at Horn Pond.

Don't forget that Woburn Host Lions Club uses the parade to raise money for the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund - they are still in need of funding to put the parade down the route! Click this link in order to make a donation
 

Woburn Host Lion's Club Monster Dash & 4.01k Road Race

Woburn Host Lion's Club will be hosting its fifth annual Monster Dash & 4.01k Costume Road Race and Haunted Walk this Sunday, October 23 from 1pm-5pm in Lion's Park at Horn Pond. For children, there will be two races (0.5 and 0.8 miles each), both of which will be free. The 4.01k race is $15 per runner. All proceeds will be donated to Lions Eye Research and other Lions charities.

Woburn Fire Department Open House

The Woburn Fire Department will be hosting a free open house on Saturday, October 15th from 10 am - 2 pm. It will be held at Station 1, 124 Main St., in Woburn and will be sponsored by Papa Gino's. The open house commemorates National Fire Safety month and aims at teaching families fire safety and prevention practices.

WOBURN’S FIFTH ANNUAL OKTOBERFEST & FAMILY FAIRE CELEBRATION INCLUDES EXPANDED ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
 
The City of Woburn’s Agricultural Commission and farm volunteers are proud to announce that Woburn’s Fourth Annual Oktoberfest & Family Faire will take place on Saturday, October 3rd from 12 noon to 4:30 PM.  The event will once again be held at Woburn’s Spence Farm property, located at 41 Wyman Street in Woburn.
 
As in years’ past, Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event and there is no admission charge.  There will be plenty of Oktoberfest-themed food and beverage for sale at a reasonable cost.  Offerings include bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzels, hamburgers, hot dogs, a variety of pastry, coffee, water, soft drinks, and of course beer!
