On Thursday, September 25 at 7PM, join Kevin Rogers, the Friends of the Harbor Islands Community Outreach Coordinator, at the Woburn Public Library for a presentation about life at Fort Warren during the Civil War for both Union soldiers and Confederate prisoners. Mr. Rogers will also share amusing tales from the soldiers and discuss how the other Islands were used during the war as well as the unusual ways in which Boston residents have been involved with the fort. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Woburn Public Library, and light refreshments will be served.

The Woburn Recreation Department will be teaming up with the Woburn Public Library to host multicultural games on Library Field, this Wednesday, August 6th at 2:30. Wear light colored clothing, sneakers, sunscreen and don’t forget to bring some water to drink. The games will be from all around the world.
The Woburn Public Library will be hosting a slime making event for children ages 5+. Prepare to get messy while using borax, white glue, tempra paint, and water to make some ooey gooey slime.
Kids ages 5+ can come down to the Woburn Public Library and play with some fun magnets. These include magnetic whellies, Wolly Willie, and other magnets.
Join the Woburn Public Library and friends for a fun filled event. The fourth annual old-fashioned Ice Cream Social. This event will be taking place July 27th from 2-5p.m. with a rain date of August 3rd. The afternoon will be filled with sweet ice cream, fun filled games and activities, and lots of good music. With the event being generously sponsored by Whole Foods, the tickets to this fun filled event are only $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. There will also be a raffle for an Ice Cream Party in a Basket, which you can now enter at the Circulation Desk.
