WorldFest 2017

This year's WorldFest is right around the corner! It will be held at Library Field, 63 Harrison Ave., Woburn, MA - Sunday May 21st from 1-5pm. Come join us for fun and festivities, including some great performances, awesome food and interactive activities for the kids. 

Our rain location will be the Kennedy Middle School located at 41 Middle Street in Woburn.

On May 22, from 1-5pm,  WorldFest returns this year for another multicultural celebration. WorldFest hosts a number of tables, with food vendors and crafts, as well as a series of cultural performances in music and dance.WorldFest will take place on the Woburn Public Library Lawn at 45 Pleasant Street and the rain location will be at the Woburn Memorial High School, 88 Montvale Avenue.

WorldFest 2015 May 17: Tour the World in Your Backyard

Tour the world in your own backyard! WorldFest is returning to Downtown Woburn on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 1-5 pm. Admission is free. International artwork and crafts will be available for purchase, as well as food from around the world. Sample Brazilian sugarcane juice, Persian sweets, and Indian delicacies. Performers entertaining the crowd this year include Gund Kwok Troupe Lion Dance, Cuban musician Coco Torres, Ku’s Taekwondo Academy, Hakuna Matata Dancers, Winchester Chinese School, Indian Bollywood Dancers, and the Korean School of New England.
 

Free children’s activities and performances will delight the little ones. Kids of all ages can fold origami, create Día de los Muertos masks from Mexico, enjoy face painting, make African toys, and explore the world with a whole host of activities. Children earn passport stamps that will get them a free treat from Orange Leaf of Woburn. Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of culture! WorldFest will take place on the Woburn Public Library Lawn at 45 Pleasant Street.

Join Social Capital Inc. and the YMCA International Learning Center for WorldFest, our multicultural celebration! WorldFest will take place on Sunday, May 18 from 2-5 pm on the lawn of the WoburnPublic Library located at 45 Pleasant Street in Woburn Center. The rain location will be the Woburn Senior Center located at 144 School Street in Woburn.  We are currently seeking volunteers who would be willing to help make WorldFest a successful event. Volunteers can choose to help all day (11 am to 6 pm), 11 am to 2 pm, or 4:30-6 pm.

WorldFest allows members of the community to come learn about other cultures and heritages they may have known little about. This year WorldFest will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 2-5 pm. The event will take place at the Woburn Public Library Lawn located at 45 Pleasant Street.

The festival is held in front of the Woburn Public Library and is a great event for family and friends. WorldFest is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 18th from 2-5 pm.

WorldFest 2013!

Entertaining the crowd this year will be Eastern Star Children’s Choir, the Bunker Hill Bag Pipe Band, the Merry Minstrels, Cuban musician Coco Torres, Japanese Drummers from Odaiko New England, Brazilian Dancers, Ku’s Taekwondo Academy, Fan Dancers from the Korean School of New England, the Woburn Memorial High School A Cappella Singers, and Nadia Sophia with Middle Eastern Belly Dancing.

Children’s activities and performances will delight the little ones. Kids of all ages can try their luck at a piñata, learn Polynesian poi, practice their martial arts skills with Rising Storm Training Academy, take a soccer clinic, and learn origami while getting passport stamps that will earn them a free treat from Hot Breads of Woburn. Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of culture! 

WorldFest will take place on the Woburn Public Library Lawn at 45 Pleasant Street. The rain location will be the Senior Center in Woburn on 144 School Street. 

Free parking for the afternoon may be found in the Library Field lot behind the library, or in the City Hall parking lot across Pleasant Street. There is also a municipal lot behind the Bowladrome in Woburn Center.

Looking for a great opportunity to showcase your culture in front of crowds of people this spring? Then why not apply to be a participant at this year's WorldFest?

WorldFest is a multi-cultural festival celebrating diversity through food, art, music and dance. This annual celebration is put together by the YMCA International Learning Center's Leadership Team and Social Capital Inc

This year's celebration will be held on Sunday, May 19th from 2-5pm on the front lawn of the Woburn Public Library (45 Pleasant St.). 

If you would like to perform or have a table at this year's festival, then apply TODAY! Applications are now due by April 9th, 2013. (See attachments below).
