Juneteenth 2022 is this Saturday!

The Juneteenth Woburn 2022 celebration will take place at the Woburn Public Library this  Saturday, June 18th, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

Don't miss this year's celebration which will include important remarks, including a keynote speaker Michael Curry, and a virtual visit from Dr. Bernard Lafayette, a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. There will also be performances and art exhibits by Woburn Public School Students, children's activities, food vendors, a beer garden, and a DJ!

Social Capital Inc. (SCI), Mayor Scott Galvin and the City of Woburn, MA, the Woburn Public Library, Woburn Welcomes, and St John's Baptist Church are hosting the 2nd annual celebration of Juneteenth Woburn! In partnership with the Woburn Dept. of Public Works and the Woburn Police Department, with support from Beth Israel Lahey Health Winchester Hospital, the Mystic Valley Area NAACP, the Woburn Democratic City Committee, State Representative Richard M. Haggerty, State Rep. Michelle Ciccolo, the Network for Social Justice, and Kadanse Studios. 

Commemorative T-shirts are available at the event!



Food Vendors and Community Tables will be in the Library Parking Lot from 1pm - 4pm.

In the Program Room, there will be a Local Artist Exhibit featuring Colgan Johnson, Jasmine Milton, Joey James from 1pm-4pm. In the Maker Space, there will be a Student Art Exhibit from 1pm-4pm
