New Teen Leadership Roles

Vaccine Recipients.

SCI recently received a grant from CHNA 15 to start a “Teen VEAP” (Vaccine Equity & Access Program) is to increase teen COVID vaccination rates in Woburn, with a focus on populations with lower vaccination rates. This Teen VEAP will complement an existing CDC funded SCI vaccine equity outreach program focused on adults in Woburn and several other communities we serve.

There are two exciting opportunities for teens to participate in this project! First, we will be hiring two paid interns to work 5 to 10 hours per week on this project starting in January. Second, we will be offering 3 grants of up to $1,000 for youth developed projects to promote teen vaccination. Click here to learn more, and apply for the internship. You can also email David Crowley at for more information and to be included on the list to receive more information about this project as it develops.
