Grants of up to $1,000 are available for groups of teens to develop an awareness campaign to encourage more of their peers to get vaccinated; with a priority on population groups with low vaccination rates. With changes to masking policies, all the more reason to make sure as many people as possible are protected by the vaccine!

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival

The Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival will be held May 7th at the Maria Hastings Elementary School cafeteria in Lexington.

Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month is a celebration of a diverse group of ethnic heritage within the Asian community who bring a wealth of enriched culture to our society. This celebration will endeavor to build awareness and educate our community on the various cultures and contributions these different Asian ethnic groups have brought to enrich our American Story. 

Volunteer Coaches Needed!

The Teen VEAP (Vaccine Equity Access Project)  is seeking  Volunteer Coaches to help a team of teens to develop a messaging campaign to increase vaccination rates. The Coaches will provide guidance and mentoring through 4 one hour weekly coaching sessions, with support from SCI. After the coaching period, the teen teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges, with up to $1,000 grants awarded to successful teams. Interested in volunteering? This project is funded through CHNA15 DoN funds from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and Winchester Hospital.
