Last Friday members the Woburn Youth Council spent their Halloween trick or treating like many others, but not for the traditional array of candy. Instead the Youth Council conducted a door-to-door canned food drive to benefit the Food Pantry at the Woburn Council of Social Concern.
While the Woburn Youth Council organized the drive, the overwhelming generosity of Woburn's residents is responsible for its success. Even in difficult times the Woburn community reached into their pantries to help those in need. Members of the Youth Council are hopeful that their donation will play a small part in alleviating the increased need for food seen during the holiday season.
